California privacy disclosures
The California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (“CCPA”), gives eligible California residents rights concerning personal information. The categories of personal information Browserherd may collect, sources, business purposes, recipient categories, and retention approach are described in our Privacy Policy.
We may collect identifiers, customer records, commercial information, internet or network activity, professional information, and inferences. We use this information to provide accounts and cloud browser services, secure the platform, process billing, support customers, improve products, communicate, and comply with law. We may disclose these categories to service providers, contractors, affiliates, professional advisers, or authorities for those purposes.
We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that require a right to limit under the CCPA.
Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
Selecting the opt-out request above tells Browserherd not to use or disclose your personal information in ways that are legally considered sale, sharing, or targeted advertising. You do not need a Browserherd account to opt out. Where required, an opt-out applies to the browser or device from which it is submitted and to the account identified in your request.
We recognize Global Privacy Control signals where legally required. Because these signals are browser- and device-specific, you should enable them on each browser and device you use. Essential processing for security, authentication, service delivery, fraud prevention, and legal compliance is not affected.
How requests are processed
- Confirmation. We acknowledge a request and assign it for review.
- Verification. We match information you provide with records we maintain and may request additional proof. We avoid collecting unnecessary information.
- Response. We respond within the period required by applicable law—generally 45 days for verified CCPA requests—and notify you if a permitted extension is needed.
- Appeal. If we deny a request, we explain the basis where required and provide appeal instructions.
We may decline or limit requests where identity cannot be verified, an exception applies, the request concerns data controlled by a Browserherd customer, or the request is excessive, repetitive, technically infeasible, or manifestly unfounded. We do not charge a fee unless permitted by law.
