Who and what this policy covers
This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) applies to every person and organization that accesses Browserherd's websites, dashboard, APIs, cloud browser sessions, infrastructure, or support services. It also applies to activity conducted by your users, agents, scripts, applications, and integrations.
Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings in the Terms of Service. You are responsible for designing safeguards appropriate to your workload and for supervising automated systems.
No illegal, fraudulent, or harmful use
You may not use the Services to facilitate, attempt, or encourage activity that violates law or creates a material risk of harm. Prohibited uses include:
- Fraud, theft, extortion, money laundering, deceptive schemes, or evasion of legal restrictions.
- Offering, obtaining, or distributing illegal goods, services, or content.
- Exploitation or abuse of children, including child sexual abuse material or grooming activity.
- Harassment, stalking, threats, doxxing, discriminatory abuse, or conduct intended to cause physical or serious emotional harm.
- Violations of intellectual property, privacy, publicity, consumer protection, or contractual rights.
- Use by or for sanctioned persons, territories, or prohibited end uses.
No compromise of accounts, systems, or networks
No credential stuffing, password spraying, account takeover, access-control bypass, or use of credentials without permission.
No delivery, command, control, testing, or distribution of malware, ransomware, spyware, botnets, or destructive code.
No denial-of-service activity, traffic flooding, resource exhaustion, or deliberate interference with a system's availability.
No scanning or exploitation without the system owner's authorization and a legitimate security-testing purpose.
Security research must be authorized, scoped, and conducted in a way that avoids harm, data access beyond what is necessary, persistence, or disruption.
No manipulation, impersonation, or platform abuse
- Creating or operating deceptive accounts, fake reviews, fake engagement, coordinated inauthentic behavior, or artificial traffic.
- Ad fraud, click fraud, affiliate fraud, impression manipulation, or search-ranking manipulation.
- Impersonating another person or organization, spoofing identity, or misrepresenting the source or purpose of activity.
- Automated purchasing that circumvents fair-access controls, including ticket bots, inventory hoarding, or abusive reservation activity.
- Automated entry into gambling, sweepstakes, reward, survey, or promotional programs in violation of applicable rules.
- Manipulating markets, online games, digital assets, votes, rankings, or public metrics.
Respect data boundaries
You may not use the Services to collect or process data when you lack a lawful basis or authorization. In particular, you must not:
- Access non-public information, private accounts, authenticated areas, or personal communications without authorization.
- Collect sensitive personal data at scale where doing so is unlawful, unexpected, or likely to cause harm.
- Defeat technical or contractual access restrictions, paywalls, or authentication controls without permission.
- Ignore valid deletion, opt-out, objection, or access requests that apply to data you control.
- Use session recordings, cookies, profiles, or credentials in a way that violates privacy law or third-party rights.
Public availability does not automatically make every collection or use lawful. You are responsible for evaluating purpose, scale, jurisdiction, notice, retention, and downstream use.
No spam or abusive messaging
Do not use Browserherd to send or facilitate unsolicited bulk messages, comments, posts, invitations, connection requests, or other communications. You must comply with consent, identification, opt-out, and suppression-list requirements. Phishing, credential harvesting, malicious redirects, and deceptive landing pages are prohibited.
Protect the service and other customers
- Do not probe, reverse engineer, or attempt to access Browserherd systems beyond documented interfaces, except where law expressly permits.
- Do not bypass plan limits, metering, concurrency controls, security controls, or usage restrictions.
- Do not resell, sublicense, or provide shared access to the Services without written authorization.
- Do not use Browserherd to build or benchmark a directly competing hosted cloud browser service without consent.
- Do not generate workloads that unreasonably degrade the Services or other customers' use.
Monitoring and enforcement
Browserherd may use automated and manual safeguards to identify abuse, including rate controls, destination restrictions, anomaly detection, and review of relevant account and session metadata. We may require identity or use-case verification before enabling certain capabilities.
When we reasonably believe this policy has been violated, we may limit destinations or features, quarantine sessions, preserve relevant evidence, suspend or terminate accounts, remove data, or report conduct to affected parties or authorities where appropriate. We generally consider severity, intent, history, impact, cooperation, and whether the issue can be safely cured.
Report suspected abuse
Include the destination, UTC timestamp, Browserherd session or request ID if available, and evidence. Do not send passwords or unnecessary personal data.
For urgent threats to life or safety, contact local emergency services first. Browserherd responds to valid legal process through [email protected].
